First of all, thanks for the interesting video! I want to use this headset (4488 or the 4466) in a planetarium. This is a dome with 2 projectors and ventilation. On the other hand, I also want to use it in an auditorium for a larger audience. Now I don't know which one to choose. Omni or directional. Omni retains the timbre of the voice and the directional does not or less. However, I don't know what is best. There is not much background noise unless that projector is at a greater distance from me. At first I would have chosen the directional but since the timbre of the voice is somewhat less, I have doubts. Can you give me some advice?

Mounting should be made easy.

This video should be called "How to Definitely not mic a saxophone". That is a stuffy dull bad sound (mic placement fault not the players) and isn't capturing the higher frequencies or true tone. Mic should be pointed towards the top of the bell.

Wrong position. In that position, you just get the sound around the most low and middle range

Does it not seem obvious that mounting on the bottom side of the neck could interfere with the left hand if playing in higher positions, would it not be much better to mount on the top side?

Still something I'm not sure about. Why would someone ever want an omnidirectional headset microphone ? Obviously the goal of a headset microphone is to pick up your own voice and not the ambient noise. So why are there omnidirectional headset microphones ? He said that in s controlled environment, like a studio, he would use an omnidirectional one. Is it because omnidirectional ones are better in picking up the whole range of one's voice ?

Regarding microphones for instruments, I think you have no equal.. I love your products, although for Kick I prefer D6 and for vocals (which are too muddy) I would use another brand, for everything else DPA has no equal! I forgot to write a thank you for this video because it is very instructive, thank you!

To be fair, it's a DPA capsule on a Sennheiser mic :p
